I met the artist at an Art Fair in Sarasota. I budgeted one item, and this is the one I selected to purchase. Pelicans are my favorite water birds. This one just looks like he is looking right at you. The artist told me she painted a real bird she saw on the dock. He has joined several other pelican art pieces in our condo at Lauderdale by the Sea. The Pelican is the mascot for Lauderdale by the Sea. Maybe that's why we moved here!
