Sandhill Cranes Sharing A Moment - Original Oil Painting on Gold Leaf - Right

Barbara Fallenbaum

Sandhill Cranes have a strong family bond.  They mate for life.  Mated pairs and their juvenile offspring stay together all through the winter, until the 9 to 10 month old juveniles finally separate from their parents.  During migration and winter the family units group together with other families and nonreaders, forming loose roosting and feeding flocks.

  • The painting measures 12” x 36”, with frame 14" x 38"  x 2" deep.
  • The frame is solid wood and custom for this painting.  We finish each one with an undercoated metallic glaze and a nice cream crackle top coat, giving an elegant coastal feel.  Each frame is a unique piece of art by itself!
  • The logo watermark that you may see on your screen will not be on the print you receive.
